more drawings from the national gallery

I went to the National Gallery today for a lunchtime lecture on John Singer Sargent and James McNeil Whistler, two of my favorites.  Of course I particularly love Sargent's portraiture, but I was blown away by some of the watercolor landscapes and cityscapes he did.  I don't consider myself much of a landscape person, but those pieces were truly inspiring.

I don't have any studies of Sargent to post tonight, but I do have a few El Greco studies I did during one of last month's visit that I am posting here.
