The Botanicals series developed out of a love of flowers and a fascination with strong design. Using my own flower photographs as references, each painting was developed using classical principles of design and then combined with experimental techniques that merge representational painting with abstraction, lending a creative charge to the deliberate design of each piece.

I continue to experiment with these designs at different scales, so my portfolio includes several versions of many of the designs at different sizes. You’ll see these organized into different galleries here on my website.
