zodiac collages

Welcome to the Zodiac Collages! These mixed media pieces are based on the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac. The background of each one is composed of a series of images based on one of the animals of zodiac, which are assembled into a harmonious grid, and then a watercolor depiction of each animal unifies the piece. The playful nature of the image selection, along with the multi-material process of assembly and the use of watercolor for the main image make these pieces unique and fun! The originals are mixed media on birch panel, and each of the designs are also available as cards and prints in my studio and at my art fairs.
